About Us

Shore11.org is a new website dedicated to protecting the Jersey Shore from over-development, pollution, unsustainable fishing, and global warming impacts.  

The site is designed to provide timely news and resources to the public, online tools for information sharing, and a platform for community action on environmental concerns.  It is especially tailored to individuals who surf, swim, fish, bird, boat, shell, dive, and live on the Jersey Shore. 

The site is sponsored by Environmental Defense Fund and the Coastal Ocean Coalition, including:  Bayshore Regional Watershed Council, Environmental Defense Fund, Surfrider Foundation, NJ Sierra Club, NJ Audubon Society, Environment NJ, NJ Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, and NJ Environmental Lobby
